A vibrant Catholic lay organization of men and women who strive to grow in holiness by offering person-to-person service to the needy in the tradition of founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron St. Vincent de Paul. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Fort Worth Diocesan Council provides financial assistance to those in need. They primarily assist with rent, mortgage payments, utility bills and food. They have transitioned their food pantries into mobile pickups and operate them in Fort Worth, Mansfield and Carrollton. They also have volunteers who purchase groceries and deliver them to individuals who are home bound. They continue to provide rent, utility assistance and help with prescriptions. Funding is requested to continue their food, and emergency financial assistance. They anticipate serving over 7,000 individuals.
Organized locally, Vincentians witness God's love by embracing all works of charity and justice. The Society collaborates with other people of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served because, in them, Vincentians see the face of Christ.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s work is unique in that Vincentians offer tangible assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis. This aid may take the form of intervention, consultation, or through direct financial or in-kind service.
An essential principle of the Society’s work is to provide help while conscientiously maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of our neighbors in need. In addition, the Society recognizes that it must assume a role of advocacy for those who are marginalized or voiceless. Vincentians in the United States serve more than 5 million people annually.
No work of charity is foreign to the Society. To quote our patron, St. Vincent de Paul: “Charity is infinitely inventive.”
